It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Hammond Golden Bears had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Knights 70-26 on the road. The victory was just business As usual For Hammond, who after 23 games remain undefeated this season.
Hammond was led to victory by Sara Yarnell and Nia Green. Yarnell dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 rebounds, while Green dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Green is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Asia Mitchell was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Hammond's victory bumped their record up to 23-0. As for Century, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Hammond will be playing at home against Southern at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southern is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Century does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
