Soccer Recap: James Island Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten goals the game before, James Island was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell just short of the Fort Dorchester Patriots by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as James Island came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Fort Dorchester are ranked 44th).

James Island's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Fort Dorchester, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-9.

James Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Dorchester, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against West Ashley on the 2nd.
