Baseball Recap: Lincoln Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Lincoln had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Hughson Huskies 6-5. That's two games straight that the Fighting Zebras have won by just one run.

Eli Duff was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Knell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and one stolen base.

Lincoln hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hughson struck out eight times.

Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Hughson, their loss dropped their record down to 27-7.

As of now, neither Lincoln nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
