Landon Stancil Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Strong Rock Christian got the W thanks in part to Landon Stancil playing the best football he has all season. Stancil picked up 159 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 94-yard run.

With the win, Strong Rock Christian broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. Stancil will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Brookstone on Friday.

Darnelle Hamilton Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Calvary Christian came up short on Friday despite Darnelle Hamilton delivering his best game to date. Hamilton picked up a sack and made 25 total tackles (5.0 for loss), good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

This year, Hamilton has averaged 10.2 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack.

Mercer Hudson Delivers Best Performance of Season

Sadly, Mercer Hudson posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Brookstone over Westfield School on Friday. Hudson picked up five sacks and made 14 total tackles. He has become a key player for Brookstone: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two sacks, but 2-3 otherwise.

Brookstone moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. Hudson and Brookstone will venture away from home to face off against Strong Rock Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Calvary Christian came up short on Friday despite Nate Osborne delivering his best game to date. Osborne threw for 268 yards and a touchdown, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
