After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenwood, Bowling Green was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Russellville Panthers with a sharp 14-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 back in April.

Bowling Green has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Russellville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-13.

Coming up, Bowling Green will host Apollo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Russellville, they will head out to take on Ohio County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
