Softball Recap: Blythewood Comes Up Short

If Blythewood was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Mauldin on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bengals lost 9-3 to the Clover Blue Eagles on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bengals in their meetings with the Blue Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Blythewood's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Clover, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

Looking ahead, Blythewood will host River Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.04 runs per game on average), something the Bengals will no doubt try to take advantage of. Clover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
