Basketball Game Preview: Piscataquis Pirates vs. Penquis Valley Patriots

The Piscataquis Pirates will face off against the Penquis Valley Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Piscataquis came up short against Central and fell 53-41.

Meanwhile, Penquis Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Mattanawcook and fell 87-48. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Lynx are ranked third).

Piscataquis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Penquis Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
