Volleyball Recap: Westview Gets the Win

Westview picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Burke Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Westview easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14.

Josie Peatrowsky paced Westview's offense, picking up six kills. Peatrowsky got some help from Rylee Meysenburg and her ten assists. Kambry Kachaturian controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Burke's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Raduechel, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Westview's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Burke, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Westview and Burke will both be playing Duchesne the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Cardinals at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
