Softball Recap: Newark Takes a Loss

Newark came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles, falling 16-1.

Newark now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wayland-Cohocton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Newark will welcome Waterloo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they will challenge Hornell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
