Volleyball Recap: Corsica/Stickney Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

There's no place like home for Corsica/Stickney, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Winner Warriors 3-2 on Thursday. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Corsica/Stickney wouldn't go down easily and took Winner into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24, 20-25, 20-25, 15-9.

Cali Vanden Hoek was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 32 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Remi Nelson was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

Corsica/Stickney pushed their record up to 16-11 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Winner, they moved to 19-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Corsica/Stickney will head out to face off against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winner, they will venture away from home to square off against Wagner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
