Baseball Recap: Greenfield's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

If Greenfield was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Gonzales last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Greenfield took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Monterey County Condors on Wednesday. The game marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kenny Pajas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Nate Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Greenfield fell to 7-1. As for North Monterey County, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

While Greenfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
