Soccer Game Preview: Arcadia vs. Nandua

The Arcadia Firebirds will venture away from home to challenge the Nandua Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Monday just wasn't the day for Arcadia's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northampton on Monday. The loss continues a trend for Arcadia in their meetings with Northampton: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Nandua was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Granby could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Arcadia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. Nandua's draw makes their record 5-5-1 this season.

Arcadia couldn't quite get it done against Nandua when the teams last played last Monday as they fell 4-2. Can the Firebirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
