Soccer Game Preview: Temple Christian vs. Cory-Rawson

The Temple Christian Pioneers will head out on the road to square off against the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Temple Christian came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-1 to Ada. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Temple Christian it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Cory-Rawson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against Riverdale, falling 7-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Cory-Rawson couldn't quite close it out.

Temple Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-2. As for Cory-Rawson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything went Temple Christian's way against Cory-Rawson in their previous meeting back in August, as Temple Christian made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
