Basketball Recap: Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Takes a Loss

Utah Military Academy - Hill Field was the 71-52 winner over Vanguard Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vanguard Academy Knights on Friday. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vanguard Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abel Jenkins out in front who went 7 of 15 to rack up 23 points and three blocks. Jenkins is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Ben Kingston was another key player, going 6 for 12 en route to 19 points.

Utah Military Academy - Hill Field's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Vanguard Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Utah Military Academy - Hill Field nor Vanguard Academy have any future games scheduled.
