Eau Claire Memorial posted their closest win since October 12, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Elk Mound Mounders, sneaking past 2-1. The Old Abes haven't had any issues with the Mounders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Norah Kling paced Eau Claire Memorial's offense, picking up ten kills. Kling got some help from Addison Schroeder and her 14 assists.

Eau Claire Memorial now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Elk Mound, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Eau Claire Memorial is taking a road trip to take on Chippewa Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Old Abes their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Elk Mound, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Unity on the 30th.
