The Glencoe Crimson Tide will venture away from home to take on the McMinnville Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
Glencoe had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Newberg on Tuesday. The Crimson Tide never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Crimson Tide have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kalli Farrimond was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Kendyl Mishler was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Raegan Dean also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Glencoe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, McMinnville faced Forest Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 6-0 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Grizzlies' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
McMinnville also got a great performance from MacKenzie Roberts as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Laney Reed was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Taylor Terry, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Glencoe's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for McMinnville, their record is now 12-2.
