On Thursday, Punahou faced Kamehameha Kapalama in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Punahou Buff n' Blue came up short against the Kamehameha Kapalama Warriors, falling 45-21. The Buff n' Blue's loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Punahou now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Kamehameha Kapalama, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.
