Mountain Vista had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 36-21 win over the Arvada West Wildcats on Saturday. The victory was just business as usual for the Golden Eagles, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.

Hudson Modrzewski went supernova, rushing for 210 yards and five TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 31 receiving yards. Those five rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marquise Reese, who threw for 236 yards on 15 of 23 attempts.

Arvada West's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Duhachek, who threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns. The Wildcats' leading receiver Keegen Balistreri was Duhachek's top target yet again, picking up 119 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Mountain Vista's record is now 12-0. As for Arvada West, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.

Coming up, Mountain Vista will challenge Ralston Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Golden Eagles will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests. Arvada West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
