Baseball Game Preview: Linfield Christian Lions vs. Ontario Christian Knights

The Linfield Christian Lions will face off against the Ontario Christian Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Linfield Christian's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Ontario Christian has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Linfield Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Mary Star of the Sea on Saturday. Linfield Christian's pitchers stepped up to hand Mary Star of the Sea a 7-0 shutout. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ontario Christian came up short against Orange Vista on Saturday and fell 8-3.

Ontario Christian got a good showing from Christopher Choi, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Choi has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ontario Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Abifadel, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Ontario Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Linfield Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1.
