In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Heights prevailed. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Westside Wolves 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since March 7th.

Matthew Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Ryan Soto was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Heights and bumps their season record up to 14-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Westside, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Heights will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
