Basketball Recap: Stratford Takes a Loss

Stratford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 79-32 defeat at the hands of the Goose Creek Gators. The contest marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Stratford saw an underclassman step up: freshman Landon Simmons posted 11 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zanquel Baldwin, who earned four points.

Stratford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Goose Creek, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Stratford has already played their next game, a 68-66 victory against Wando on the 14th. As for Goose Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-54 loss against Cane Bay on the 14th.
