Baseball Recap: Cherry Hill East Takes a Loss

After flying high against Haddon Township on Thursday, Cherry Hill East came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the Cherry Hill West Lions by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Rohan Muttathil made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Cherry Hill East's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-2. As for Cherry Hill West, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Cherry Hill East will be playing in front of their home fans against Cherokee at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cherry Hill West, they are taking a road trip to take on Seneca at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
