Volleyball Recap: Gillespie Comes Up Short

Gillespie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.

Gillespie's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-10-1.

Gillespie has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Decatur Eisenhower on the 4th. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Calhoun on the 4th.
