Softball Recap: Isabella Mustangs vs. Jemison Panthers

If Isabella was riding high fresh off their 20-6 takedown of Dallas County last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell 13-10 to the Jemison Panthers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 last Monday.

Eliza Lovett was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Natalie Smithermen, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Isabella has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
