Football Game Preview: Bandys Trojans vs. South Rowan Raiders

The Bandys Trojans will face off against the South Rowan Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bandys knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully South Rowan likes a good challenge.

Bandys fought the good fight in their overtime game against Hickory on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Tornadoes by a score of 47-45. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Red Tornadoes are ranked 22nd).

Bandys might have lost, but man, Brady Swett was a machine: he threw for 365 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 34 yards and one TD. Kayden Henrickson was Swett's top target, picking up 192 receiving yards and one score.

Bandys didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Henrickson.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for South Rowan's offense. They were beaten by Carson 35-0 on Friday. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Bandys' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for South Rowan, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
