Football Game Preview: East Bay Indians vs. Tampa Bay Tech Titans

The East Bay Indians will square off against the Tampa Bay Tech Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. East Bay will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

East Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Mariner a 13-0 shutout. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Tritons are ranked 236th).

East Bay didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jazalyn Baluja and Jackson. Baluja is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as she's now defended at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay Tech beat Parrish Community 18-6 on Wednesday.

East Bay pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6.

East Bay didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Tampa Bay Tech in their previous meeting last Thursday, but they still walked away with a 14-10 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
