Baseball Recap: East Windsor Panthers vs. Windsor Locks Raiders

East Windsor had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-12 to make it 11. They fell just short of the Windsor Locks Raiders by a score of 6-5. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Elias Jacobs put in work no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Evan Witzke was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
