Snow Canyon is 8-2 against Pine View since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Snow Canyon Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Pine View Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Snow Canyon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season.
On Wednesday, Snow Canyon lost to Crimson Cliffs at home by a 63-44 margin. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Snow Canyon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Issaiah Thompson went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Thompson. The team also got some help courtesy of Gil Lamoreaux, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pine View had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams, sneaking past 60-58.
Pine View's win came from a few key players Snow Canyon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Adam Moore, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 20 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jelani Odjegba, who put up ten points and three steals.
Pine View has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Snow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Snow Canyon has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Pine View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Snow Canyon strolled past Pine View when the teams last played back in February by a score of 69-53. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Pine View's Nash Schroeder, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Snow Canyon to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
