Baseball Recap: Fairborn Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Fairborn, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Sidney Yellowjackets by a score of 12-8 on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Skyhawks: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets on Friday, they had to take a 7-4 defeat.

Fairborn pushed their record up to 7-11-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Sidney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Fairborn will challenge Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sidney, they will be playing at home against Greenville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Green Wave have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.61 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
