Pima has gone a perfect 3-0 against Globe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Roughriders will head out to take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Globe took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Pima, who comes in off a win.
Pima is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Miami 55-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Roughriders considering their 12-point performance the matchup before.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Rooster Alder and Joe Palmer. Alder rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries while Palmer rushed for 68 yards and two TDs. Palmer got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards.
Pima was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Pima didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keegan Corona and Emmet Mcbiles. Corona got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Globe's offense. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of St. Johns. The Tigers have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Even if they lost, Globe's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Corban Bejarano was especially locked on to St. Johns' QB and sacked him three times.
Globe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Pima, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
