Basketball Game Preview: Williams Bulldogs vs. Southwestern Randolph Cougars

Williams has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Southwestern Randolph has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. Both will face off at 7:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Williams will bounce into Friday's match after beating Asheboro, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. Williams was the clear victor by a 66-43 margin over Asheboro on Thursday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Blue Comets are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Southwestern Randolph blew past Chatham Charter, posting a 58-22 victory.

Southwestern Randolph's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Williams, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
