Volleyball Recap: Dixie Comes Up Short

Dixie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Thursday.

Crimson Cliffs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colsen Neal led the charge by getting 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Neal has posted over his last six contests. Another player making a difference was Nathan Dana, who had 19 assists.

Dixie's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Crimson Cliffs, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Dixie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Pine View on the 21st. As for Crimson Cliffs, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Desert Hills on the 21st.
