Softball Recap: Tri-County Penguins vs. Nekoosa Papermakers
After flying high against Port Edwards on Thursday, Tri-County came back down to earth. The Penguins came up short against the Nekoosa Papermakers on Saturday, falling 17-4. If the Penguins were looking for revenge after losing 19-4 to the Papermakers when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaila Foster made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Tri-County now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Nekoosa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.
Coming up, Tri-County will take on Pittsville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Nekoosa, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 20-2 win against Lena/Aquinas on the 10th.
