Basketball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. The contest between them and the Oakland Patriots didn't end well, with the Riverdale Warriors falling 55-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-44 back in January.

Despite the loss, Riverdale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madison Taylor posted ten points.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Oakland, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale will face off against Rockvale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Green Hill will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Oakland surely won't give up without a fight.
