Basketball Game Preview: Leadership Academy Falcons vs. Cornerstone Charter Cardinals

The Leadership Academy Falcons will challenge the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leadership Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.8 points per game this season.

Cornerstone Charter is facing Leadership Academy at the wrong time: Leadership Academy suffered their first home loss of the season on Thursday and they're likely out for redemption. They came up short against the Villains, falling 65-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since February 13, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Leadership Academy got top-tier performance from Caden Ryker, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. What's more, Ryker also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Caleb Foster was another key player, putting up six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Charter strolled past Bethany Community with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-38.

Leadership Academy's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2. As for Cornerstone Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Everything came up roses for Leadership Academy against Cornerstone Charter in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 80-49 win.
