Soccer Recap: Independence Falls Short Against Ranked Ravenwood

Independence faced Ravenwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Raptors by a score of 1-0. It was the first time this season that Independence let down their fans at home.

This is the second loss in a row for Independence and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Ravenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season.
