Basketball Game Preview: Quinter Bulldogs vs. Hill City Ringnecks

Quinter is 2-8 against Hill City since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Quinter Bulldogs will challenge the Hill City Ringnecks at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Quinter earned a 40-33 victory over Wheatland-Grinnell. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Thunderhawks: they've now won five in a row.

Caedmon Bridges had a dynamite game for Quinter, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Bridges a new career-high in blocks (five). Gunner Catura was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Hill City beat Golden Plains 48-41 on Tuesday.

Quinter's record now sits at 10-6. As for Hill City, their record is now 6-10.

Quinter didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hill City in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quinter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
