Volleyball Recap: Lamar Makes It Five in a Row at Home + How To Watch

Lamar had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Florence on Tuesday. The Thunder blew past the Huskies 3-0. The Thunder have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

While Lamar won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-10, 28-26.

Lamar can attribute much of their success to Alyssa Postma, who had eight digs and two aces.

Postma wasn't the only good server: Lamar was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in four consecutive matchups.

Lamar's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. As for Florence, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Lamar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against The Vanguard School on the 18th. As for Florence, they will head out to challenge La Junta at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
