Baseball Recap: Brewer Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brewer can now relate to. They fell just short of the Grapevine Mustangs by a score of 8-7 on Friday. The Bears' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Troy Griffin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Lucas Cantu was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Brewer's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Grapevine, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Brewer nor Grapevine have any future games scheduled.
