It was a good run, but Prairie City-Monroe unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roland-Story Norsemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Norsemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on June 6th.

Prairie City-Monroe now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Roland-Story, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Prairie City-Monroe will venture away from home to face off against Lynnville-Sully at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Roland-Story, they will take on Newman Catholic at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
