Baseball Recap: Kellogg Comes Up Short

Kellogg was the 8-3 winner over Bonners Ferry when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats lost 21-5 to the Badgers on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kellogg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Keller, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. That run was Keller's first of the season.

Kellogg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bonners Ferry, their victory ended a 17-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Looking ahead, Kellogg will be playing at home against Priest River at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Bonners Ferry, they will head out on the road to square off against Coeur d'Alene at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Badgers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
