Crimson Cliffs came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Desert Hills Thunder 42-7. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Crimson Cliffs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanoai Andresen, who threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns. The Mustangs' leading receiver Briton Phillips was Andresen's top target yet again, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Crimson Cliffs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyler Gibb and Benson Hofhine. Crimson Cliffs received some extra help from Ryder Christiansen, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Crimson Cliffs' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Desert Hills, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Crimson Cliffs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 28-21 victory against Snow Canyon on the 29th. As for Desert Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-10 win against Dixie on the 26th.
