Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Spartans vs. Pleasanton Bulldogs

The Ansley/Litchfield Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Pleasanton, falling 54-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Ansley/Litchfield has suffered against Pleasanton since January 21, 2020.

Despite the defeat, Ansley/Litchfield saw an underclassman step up: Caydence Feldman scored six points along with three steals.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brittany Riley, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals.

Ansley/Litchfield's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.8 points per game. As for Pleasanton, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Ansley/Litchfield will be playing in front of their home fans against South Loup at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully South Loup focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
