Recap: Caliche Buffaloes vs. Idalia Wolves
The Caliche Buffaloes lost against the Idalia Wolves back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Caliche fell 42-30 to Idalia. Caliche has struggled against Idalia recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Caliche's loss came despite strong showings from Kendyll Armstrong and Karsyn Huss. Armstrong scored six points, while Huss scored 11 points. Jordan Gerk was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Jaylyn Kechter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Idalia, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Kechter has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brigette Kite, who scored seven points.
Caliche's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Idalia, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Caliche will be playing at home against Y at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Y is coming into the match with three straight losses on the road, meaning Caliche will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Idalia, they will square off against Stratton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Idalia is coming into the matchup with 13 straight wins on the road, so Stratton is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
