Softball Recap: IC Catholic Prep Takes a Loss

IC Catholic Prep was the 2-1 winner over St. Francis when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday.

Sofia Bucaro was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ariani Zito, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

IC Catholic Prep dropped their record down to 12-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for St. Francis, their record is now 15-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. IC Catholic Prep will square off against DePaul College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis, they will face off against Aurora Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
