Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Moorefield walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Philip Barbour Colts with a sharp 10-2 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Moorefield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Philip Barbour, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-12-1.
