Baseball Recap: Edison Has No Trouble Against South Brunswick

Edison never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the South Brunswick Vikings 11-0. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Dom Innocenti, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those home runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Roma, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Edison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Brunswick only posted an OBP of .118.

Edison's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for South Brunswick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Coming up, Edison will face off against East Brunswick at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Brunswick, they will take on South Plainfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
