Softball Game Preview: Mahwah Thunderbirds vs. Paramus Spartans

The Mahwah Thunderbirds will venture away from home to challenge the Paramus Spartans at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

On Saturday, Mahwah didn't have quite enough to beat Lyndhurst and fell 15-14.

Meanwhile, Paramus earned a 13-9 victory over Pascack Hills on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Mahwah has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Paramus, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Mahwah couldn't quite get it done against Paramus in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 7-2. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
