Calvary Lutheran took  a  three-set  loss the last time they faced off against Belle, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  victory over the Tigers  on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Lions have posted  since October 12, 2024.
 Calvary Lutheran wouldn't go down easily and took Belle into a fifth set  where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-16, 22-25, 11-25,  15-9.
Calvary Lutheran found their leader in sophomore  Teagan Foley, who  had 12 assists and seven  digs.
 Calvary Lutheran  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 18  aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  ace total in three consecutive  matches.
Calvary Lutheran's record is now 14-6-2. As for Belle, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9-1.
 Calvary Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  loss against Columbia Independent on the 18th. As for Belle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  victory against Plato on the 16th.
