It was a good run, but Southside unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lafayette Lions. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Sharks still had to take the loss.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Lafayette, their win bumped their record up to 17-13.

Southside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-36 victory against Ferriday on the 1st. As for Lafayette, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sam Houston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette is facing Sam Houston at the right time seeing as Sam Houston is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
